DESCRIPTION:Join us for our First Friday Art Party from 5–8 p.m. Enjoy the stunning ambiance offered by our chic\, historic venue. \n\nFree museum admission\, including all current exhibitions\nArt in Deco Lounge by Christopher Hureau\nDrinks and snacks available for purchase in the Deco Lounge\nFREE downtown shuttle\, THE ZEB\, running along Tejon Street to downtown art galleries\n\nThe Fine Arts Center is proud to be part of First Friday Downtown \nAbout Christopher Hureau\nChristopher Hureau came to Colorado Springs over 40 years ago for his last assignment with the U.S. Air Force. After his 10-year Air Force career\, he began his lifelong dream of being a full-time artist\, first as a commercial artist\, then as a landscape painter. He was the Senior Illustrator and Designer at the Air Force Academy from 1996–2013. His accomplishments included illustrations and graphic designs for publications\, logos\, and teaching materials for the Cadet Wing. Additionally\, he painted traditional portraits of the Academy’s Senior Leadership. His original oil paintings\, fine art prints\, and note cards are exhibited along the Front Range from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins.
