Tax deductibility and refunds
Is my membership tax deductible?
- Memberships to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College (EIN: 84-0402510) below the $1,000 level are completely tax deductible. Memberships at the $1,000 and above are partially tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
- If you need your tax receipt, please email Jean Truty, Data and Stewardship Specialist, at jtruty@ColoradoCollege.edu
Are memberships refundable?
- With our Memberships being tax-deductible donations towards the Fine Arts Center, we are unable to issue partial or whole refunds once the Membership dues have been paid.
Can I lend my membership to a friend’s family to use?
- Memberships are non-transferable. Your membership is tax-deductible and is considered a donation.
Guest passes
How many guests can I bring into the museum?
- The number of guests you can bring in for museum general admission depends on your membership level:
- Individual = 1 one-time use guest pass
- Dual = 2 one-time guest passes
- Family = 4 additional guests* + 4 one-time guest passes
- Contributing = 4 additional guests* + 6 one-time guest passes
- Patron = 6 additional guests* + 8 one-time guest passes
- Benefactor = 8 additional guests* + 10 one-time guest passes
*While one-time guest passes may only be used for museum admission, additional guests (starting at the family level and above) may be used for member events and programing (with ticket purchase when required).
How do I use my one-time guest passes to the museum?
- Guest passes are linked electronically to your account. To redeem, simply let our front desk staff know you wish to use a guest pass when you come in.
Can I use one-time guest passes at events?
- One-time guest passes are only valid for museum gallery admission and not for any member-only events or programing. To bring guests to member events, consider upgrading to the Family level.
