Step inside one of Colorado Springs’ most storied landmarks, the Van Briggle Pottery Building, for an intimate, one-hour tour just for members with Jeremiah Houck, Assistant Director of the Bemis School of Art. Discover the life and legacy of Artus Van Briggle, explore his ties to Colorado College, and get an up-close look at the building’s iconic tiles and whimsical details. You’ll also view rarely seen interior features like the original tile press, the Van Briggle fireplace, and historic ceramics on display. This is your chance to explore the beauty, symbolism, and secrets hidden in plain sight.

Location & parking: The location of this tour is at the Van Briggle Pottery Building at 1125 Glen Ave. Parking in the Van Briggle lot is not permitted, as the lot is reserved for Colorado College Facilities Department staff. We recommend parking along Glen Avenue and walking to the Van Briggle building. Please plan to arrive early to allow time for parking and walking to the site.
