What is Illuminate?
Illuminate is a one-of-a-kind evening at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College, bringing together art, performance, music, and community. Guests will enjoy an early look at Gathering Place, a reimagining of our permanent collections, a one-of-a-kind performance art piece, live music, art making demonstrations, a silent art auction featuring our talented staff and Bemis art instructors, and the chance to celebrate creativity in unforgettable ways.
What is included with my ticket?
- Community Ticket: Entry to the event, including Gathering Place, all art activations, food and non-alcoholic beverages, live music, live art demonstrations, and a unique performing arts piece.
- Radiance Ticket: Includes everything in the Community Ticket, plus a commissioned art piece created for the event and one drink ticket. This ticket includes a contribution to the Fine Arts Center.
- VIP Ticket: Includes everything in the Community Ticket, plus a VIP gift bag and two drink tickets. This ticket includes a contribution to the Fine Arts Center.
What is the dress code?
Dress to impress! The evening is festive and creative, so cocktail attire is encouraged. Guests are welcome to incorporate bold, artistic, or light-inspired fashion to match the spirit of Illuminate.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes! Guests will enjoy a variety of passed hors d’oeuvres, a hearty appetizer buffet, and an assortment of desserts—all included with your ticket. A signature cocktail, along with beer, wine, and spirits, will be available for purchase at the cash bar.
Where should I park?
Parking will be available in the Fine Arts Center lot, as well as on surrounding streets. The Fine Arts Center uses ParkMobile as our virtual parking system. You can pay using the ParkMobile app upon arrival.

What time should I arrive?
The event begins at 5:30 p.m.
Is the event 21+?
Yes, this is a 21+ event due to alcohol service. Valid ID will be required to purchase drinks.
Will there be live performances?
Yes! Illuminate will feature live art performances and demonstrations throughout the evening. Highlights include a live art performance by Josh T Franco, demonstrations in sketching, printing, and wheel throwing, plus music performances by Solos Amigos, Annie Zagorski, and other creative surprises throughout the night.
Will there be a silent auction?
Yes! Illuminate will feature a silent auction of original works by local and regional artists. Featured artists include Casey Kawaguchi, Floyd Tunson, Phil Vallejo, Pat Musick, Linda Sagastume, Jeremiah Houck, and more. Proceeds from the silent auction will be split between the artist and the Fine Arts Center, supporting our mission and future programming.
Are tickets refundable or transferable?
Tickets are non-refundable, but they may be transferred to another guest. To update the names on your tickets, please contact our front desk at (719) 634-5581.
Is the event indoors or outdoors?
Most of Illuminate will take place indoors, with a portion of the evening’s activities scheduled in the courtyard. In the event of inclement weather, all activities will be moved inside to ensure guests are comfortable and the celebration continues without interruption.
Will the museum be open?
Yes! Guests will have access to the first-floor galleries, featuring the exhibition Gathering Place.
Is there accessibility assistance?

How can I support the Fine Arts Center beyond attending?
Thank you for asking! Event proceeds from some ticket levels and the silent art auction support the mission of the Fine Arts Center. Additional donations can be made at the event or online.
