Transfixed: Photography from the Permanent Collection

August 4, 2007 - January 27, 2008

This gallery represents our commitment to collecting and exhibiting the art of photography. Photography has always contained a documentary gene, but early 20th century photographers such as Ansel Adams helped to secure their medium’s place among the finest of traditional art forms like painting. Today, photographers such as Gus Foster continue to expand photography’s boundaries through their large, bold images.
