Art Explorer Tours for Families

Members-only Art Explorer Tours are a special tour series just for kids, while their adults tag along to help them explore the Fine Arts Center museum and share ideas! These interactive gallery visits are all about seeing, wondering, and thinking together.

Led by friendly guides, each themed tour features fun exploratory games, engaging activities, and playful questions that help young minds learn about art in exciting ways. Grown-ups are welcome to support their little learners, no art expertise required! We’ll explore the galleries in a way that connects with kids’ lives and experiences, helping them build confidence in their own ideas while learning to look with curiosity and imagination.

We’ll kick things off with a fun intro and a quick chat about museum manners (like “no licking the sculptures!”). Then, we’ll break the tour into bite-sized 15-minute adventures, exploring a different part of the museum in kid-friendly, imagination-packed ways.

This tour series is geared towards elementary school-aged children. It is free and open to members at the Family Level and above. No more than two adults per child may attend. RSVP required, space is limited.
