The Magic of Motown

Join our resident cabaret artist, J. Chang-Tablada to hear some Motown classics hits—and sing-a-long to your favorites, all while learning about the significance of the music and magic of Motown. More than simply a musical movement, Motown reshaped society, transcended racial barriers, and centered Black artists in a segregated industry. In a time of societal upheaval, Motown’s music brought hope and unity.
This lecture coincides with the theatre production of Sister Act, on stage from May 1–25, 2025.
