Bemis Community Printshop: Collagraphs – Printing from Collage
May 9 @ 10:00 am
In collaboration with the Colorado College Art Department, the Bemis School of Art is thrilled to launch the Bemis Community Printshop — a new space for creative exploration in Colorado Springs! Our goal is to foster a welcoming community where artists of all levels can access professional printmaking facilities and feel inspired to experiment and create. Begin your journey with one of our hands-on workshops — a prerequisite that opens the door to affordable open studio sessions, where you can keep exploring a variety of printmaking techniques at your own pace.
Level A – All levels welcome. In this fun workshop, students will create a collage with textural 2-D materials and then seal it. Students will then ink and print the design using the printing press. Students can experiment with ink colors as well as different papers to create one of a kind or small edition of prints. Supplies will be provided.
Please note: By registering for this class you are agreeing to adhere to the Fine Art Center Bemis School of Art’s publicity waiver, medical waiver, and other general policies.
Ages 16-Adult
