Abstract Collage: How to Create a Visual Language with Altered Materials

In the first half of the day, we will experiment with an extensive list of mark making tools to create unique collage papers. We will test ink, colored pencil, oil pastel, charcoal, ball point pen, and markers—just to name a few. Because we are playing, and not focused on a “perfect” piece of art, the use of materials is relaxing and fun. In the afternoon we will use our altered papers and arrange the pieces in a variety of abstract collages. Supply list online. Ages 16–Adult
